RE: Three dogs and a motorhome

Our beagle has been trained to either sit on the passanger's lap or be in the crate. We altermnate to be sure she does not grow to expect the lap all the time.

Dogs and RVing around the Grand Canyon

Our beagle will be a bit more than a year old in September when we want to go out West. She is perfectly fine with a crate for hours on end. While it would obvoiusly be best to be able to leave her in air conditioning when we are gone, but this may not always be an option. We have three vent fans and a pair of golf cart batteries. I am fairly certain that the temperature inside would not be much more than outside.
For water, would a large hamster sort of bottle due?
How long are the typical activities if we don't stay up on the rim?
How far are the parking lots from the rim? Any campgrounds really near by or have shuttle access?
Are dogs allowed around the rim? How are they treated at other parks like Zion or Bryce?
We really want to take her, but we that to ruin our trip or worse, hurt her.

RE: Automatic step doesn't

I did not find theh white lithium lube but just got some 3 in one. It worked great! You all saved me a bunch, thanks!
I will find the right lube later.

RE: Automatic step doesn't

Mine just seemed to get slower and slower until it finally quit working at all. I could get it to move by pulling/pushing on it as it tried to move. There was never any jerking. It at first looked like a voltage problem, but as I said, it won't move even connected to shore power. I disconnected power to it, but that now seems to be unnecessary. How can I lube the joints when it will no longer move?

RE: Automatic step doesn't

Thanks. Nobody ever said anything about lubrication. I suspect that something has probably burned out considering how long it has been incapable of moving.

Automatic step doesn't

Our 1.5 year old automatic step started getting slow to the point that it no longer works at all. Initally I thought it was a voltage problem but it does not work on shore power. I am thinking that the motor is fried. Is it common that these things fail and can they be fixed without going to a dealer?

Mold on roof?

I just spent some time on our '06 C-class. I noticed little blue/green spots on the roof membrane and even on the vent covers. I suppose it is some sort of lichen. What sort of stuff should I use to get rid of it? I thought bleach would be a good start. Then there ought to be a sealer to keep it from coming back.

RE: backfeeding converter with inverter

I installed a relay that interupts the line to the converter when the inverter is on.

RE: invert and a fridge

I used to run the fridge on our old Toyota from the inverter all the time. If I tried to run the fridge on propane, it usually blew out. Nwever had a problem.

RE: Fan-tastic Power Vents/Fan

We had one installed in the bedroom. I am not happy with its utilization. It seems that the window for using it between heating and air conditioning seasons is rather narrow here in Ohio. I could see it used a lot if we boondocked, but we don't.
